A transfer station is a facility where waste is unloaded for preparation before being transported to another site for treatment, recovery or disposal. In this case, transport is carried out using vehicles with walking-floor semi-trailers. The works planned under this contract include:
- Earthworks
- Retaining works
- Construction of concrete walls
- Internal circulation roads
- Utility networks (wastewater, water supply and electricity supply)
- Supply of equipment (walking-floor semi-trailers, among others)
- Landscaping
The aim is to design and subsequently build a transfer station with four receiving points (hoppers) already specified. The full design and construction — including the split-level platform, metal roofing and all infrastructure and connections — will be provisioned for the four hoppers.
